Pair of majolica blackamoors, each youthful figure dressed colorful garb gathered with a green sash, standing near a tree stump which serves as a vase, and holding an agate glazed urn with yellow handles.
These wonderful figures are unmarked. There is a mat quality to the glaze of the clothing that suggests a Portuguese manufacture. However, they might well be English, as suggested by the treatment of the pot, tree stump and base.
