Vintage Backgammon Set with Large Bakelite Stones, 1940s

Vintage backgammon set with large Bakelite stones, 1.75" diameter, and wonderful oversized doubling cube. The stones, cups and cube were purchased from an antique shop in Newport, RI in the 1970s and were purported to come from Rough Point, Doris Duke's estate. The board, which was made to order, dates to the 1970s.

Condition: Wonderful condition. The cork lining to the rim of one cup is damaged, visible in the photos. The red dice are not Bakelite and are slightly smaller the green dice, which are Bakelite. The board is rigid and does not fold.
