Arnoldus Ardianus van Tets (1738- 1792) married Wilhelmina Jacoba Hartingh (1750-1813) in Batavia (present day Jakarta) in 1767. This service was made to commemorate their wedding. They returned to Holland two years later, in 1769, presumably taking this service with them.
